Along with some Governors’ Wives, I had the honour of attending the 23rd Annual National Women’s Conference hosted by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), an event that left a profound impact on me. COWLSO stands as an organization deeply committed to its noble mission: supporting spouses who tirelessly work in public positions to propel the growth and development of Lagos State.
The First Lady of the FRN, H.E. Dist. Sen. Oluremi Tinubu OON CON opened the ceremony and this year’s conference promises to have a series of enlightening lecture sessions, guided by distinguished individuals with deep insights into various aspects of public service and community development.
The inherent strength of unity and collaboration will be evident as women intend to connect and share their experiences and wisdom. I wholeheartedly commend the tremendous efforts of my sister, the First Lady of Lagos State and Chairman, COWLSO – H.E. Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu.
I also laud the vision of the founding mothers of the committee, which was to complement the efforts of the Government in critical areas that were women and children-friendly. I am filled with optimism that the COWLSO will successfully realize all its plans, further enhancing the betterment of Lagos State.
Chief Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma.
First Lady of Imo State, Founder of GoodHope Flourish Foundation and Secretary of Renewed Hope Initiative.
