63rd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association
The realm of law is no longer a realm of gender but of competence, character, and commitment. In a world where the echoes of change are growing louder, each stride we take and challenge we overcome reaffirms that the empowerment of women in the legal profession is not just a goal, but a necessity.
In celebration of the 63rd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, members of legal bodies and institutions, political appointees business executives amongst others engaged in insightful discussions about charting the course for building a better Nation.
Whilst unavoidably absent at my nominated panel session titled, “Strengthening the place of women in the Legal Profession“, my phenomenal representative, Prada Uzodimma, Esq. (ACIArb, LLM) used this avenue to advocate for leadership training, inclusive workplaces, mentorship and sponsorship for young lawyers and women in the workplace.
I am indeed optimistic that conversations like these and proper implementation of such will continue to create opportunities that will allow us to shape the future of the legal profession in Nigeria towards the direction of gender parity, inclusivity, and empowerment.
Chief Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma.
First Lady, Imo State, and Founder, GoodHope Flourish Foundation.
