First Lady Of Imo State Begins Second Phase Of Women Empowerment 2021
As we continue to keep the promises we make to the indigenous people of our great Imo State, we will ensure all our actions are inclusive of the diverse groups with the communities. My office in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Imo State will continue to work tirelessly to fulfil the promise made at the Grand Finale of the #2021ImoWomenAugustMeeting.
On Thursday, November 25, 2021, we completed Phase Two of our empowerment scheme by* distributing one hundred pieces of Sewing Machines and Hair Dryers to another set of women across all 27 LGAs. In a few weeks, we hope to conclude this scheme with Phase Three.
This gesture allowed us another opportunity to celebrate our women and to further discuss the daily challenges they face. I seized the opportunity to reassure and remind them that the 3R administration places the welfare of every Imo citizen as high priority. Our intention remains the same; to create avenues for our people to contribute positively to the socioeconomic development of the State and the Nation.
