Inauguration and Swearing-In Ceremony of Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Expanded Executive Council

Accompanied by my darling husband, Governor Hope Uzodimma @he_hopeuzodimma, I had the honour of attending the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the expanded Executive Council for his second term in office. The event saw the induction of 24 Commissioners, 19 Special Advisers, and other top political appointees.

The oath-taking ceremony, presided over by the Governor, took place at the new Executive Council Chamber in Government House Owerri on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Following this, Governor Uzodimma promptly assigned portfolios to the 24 Commissioners.

In his post-inauguration remarks, Governor Uzodimma urged all Executive Council members to leverage their positions, interpersonal skills, and relationships to drive success within their respective ministries, agencies, and departments. He emphasized the importance of conducting themselves with decorum and a strong sense of responsibility.

The Governor emphasized that the appointees were selected based on individual merit, underscoring that their integrity and performance would be closely scrutinized by the people of Imo State. He hinted at forthcoming appointments in due time.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the newly appointed cabinet members of the Shared Prosperity Administration!
