World Day Against Child Labour

World Day Against Child Labour

Let’s Act on Our Commitments: End Child Labour

World Day Against Child Labour is a day used to raise awareness about the harmful mental and physical problems faced by children forced into child labour around the world. It’s a day to focus on the issue of child labour and find ways to eradicate it completely.

In Nigeria, and Imo State in particular, many young children not only hawk wares, but are also forced into manual labour. This steals their childhood and hinders their education and future opportunities.

By raising awareness and taking concrete steps, we can build a future where every child enjoys a childhood filled with love, learning, and laughter, not labour. Let’s stand together to protect their dreams and secure their future.

We must act now and stand up for our children. A child’s place is in school, not the workplace. Let’s give them toys to play with, not tools to work with. Let’s act on our commitments and End Child Labour.
