Commissioning of the Drug Demand Reduction Center at the NDLEA Imo State Command

I was delighted to have my foundation, the GoodHope Flourish Foundation (GHFF) partner with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in refurbishing the Drug Demand Reduction Center at the NDLEA Imo State Command. On November 6, 2023, I commissioned the center during the inauguration ceremony.

As a wife, mother, and War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) Ambassador, I hold a profound passion for joining agencies across the State in combating drug abuse — a pervasive issue that plagues our youth across diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.

Drug abuse is not solely an individual concern; it is a societal challenge that affects us all. The establishment of this centre underscores our unwavering dedication to eradicating the scourge of drug abuse in Imo State and Nigeria as a whole.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my husband, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, for his wholehearted support. I also commend the diligent Imo State NDLEA Commander, Abubakar L. Wali, and his team for their effective project management.

I am confident that this centre will play a pivotal role in assisting drug users in Imo State, offering counselling and therapy to help them rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

Chief Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Uzodimma.
First Lady of Imo State, Founder of GoodHope Flourish Foundation and Secretary of Renewed Hope Initiative.
