International Day of Education Themed, “LEARNING FOR LASTING PEACE”
In a world striving for lasting peace, education is a powerful catalyst that will foster a profound understanding of our shared humanity. It instils the values of empathy, tolerance and individuals gain the tools to navigate differences there by dismantling barriers that fuel discord and paving the way for harmonious coexistence.
Today, I join organizations across the globe as we commemorate the International Day of Education with the theme, “LEARNING FOR LASTING PEACE”, as a means to raise awareness of the relevance of bringing together diverse perspectives and embracing the richness of varied cultures to lay the foundation for lasting peace across our communities and nation.
Inclusivity in education ensures that every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, has access to quality learning opportunities.
