International Day Of Women And Girls In Science, 2022!
Today, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, 2022!
Although women have made tremendous progress towards increasing their roles in higher education, we are still under-represented in high-demand fields such as technology (22%).
In honor of this commemoration, organizations across the globe encourage women to work in technology and innovation. They aim to have more of us fully involved in finding solutions to the largest and most complex problems facing society today.
This year’s theme, “Equity, Diversity, Inclusion: Water Unites Us”, celebrates globally the many ways to acknowledge the role of women and girls in science as both beneficiaries as well as agents of change. I urge us all to be a part of the collective voices on Equality in Science.
