International Girls In Information Communication And Technilogy Day, 2022!
Having reliable access to the internet and digital tools is essential for girls and young women aspiring to start a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Therefore, we raise awareness of International Girls on Information Communication Technology Day every April 28 to encourage girls to pursue STEM education, work in STEM careers, engage the online community, as well as promote collaboration.
As part of this year’s theme, “Access and Safety”, we hope to spark a conversation so stakeholders are encouraged to start discussions aimed at lowering barriers to girls’ access and improving their safety online when they pursue STEM studies and careers.
I am optimistic that soon, women will have access to digital resources and be safe while using them.
