Launch of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Women Agricultural Support Programme and RHI Social Investment Program for People Living With Disabilities
Yesterday, I attended the launch of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Women Agricultural Support Programme and RHI Social Investment Program for People Living With Disabilities alongside the Flag-Off of the 2024 Ogun State Planting Season, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Led by Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and National Chairman of RHI, and hosted by Her Excellency (Mrs.) Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of the Governor and RHI Coordinator for Ogun State, the program aims to empower women and People Living With Disabilities from the South Western region.
Financial support of N500,000 was awarded to 120 women farmers while 100 persons living with disabilities were empowered with N100,000 each to support their businesses.
The event was graced by the presence of the wife of the Senate President, HE Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, wives of State Governors from Bayelsa, Cross River, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo States, former Governors’ wives, among other dignitaries.
