Nigeria Economic Growth and Trade Summit
To align with the goals of the Nigerian Governor’s Wives Forum (NIGWF) @ngw_forum and their mission to enhance their advocacy efforts and strengthen partnerships with international donors and governments, I had the privilege of participating alongside my sisters, the wives of Nigerian State Governors, at the Nigeria Economic Growth and Trade Summit.
The event was organized by the NIGWF in partnership with the Permanent Mission and Consulate General alongside the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 18, 2023.
During my panel discussion, we delved into the critical role of women’s involvement in shaping education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and social welfare initiatives.
Additionally, we highlighted the influential collaborative endeavours undertaken by the NIGWF to establish a more cohesive strategy for addressing fundamental necessities and diminishing migration pressures.
Furthermore, we had the privilege of welcoming Nigeria’s First Lady, H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON and were joined by several Nigerian State Governors who were in attendance at the UN General Assembly this week.
