The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups in Imo State pay a visit to Ikenegbu Girls’ Secondary School on commemoration of the World Children’s Day and World Menstrual Hygiene Day

The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu along with other Ministry staff continued their scheduled visit commemorating World Children’s Day and World Menstrual Hygiene Day to Ikenegbu Girls’ Secondary School, Owerri.
The team was welcomed by the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Mere Iheoma, who was grateful that their institution had been chosen to receive this thoughtful gift.
Hon. Ugwu provided important advice on managing menstrual hygiene during the interactive session. The pupils were then, given enough reusable pads to last for at least a year, along with refreshments and snacks.
The students expressed their appreciation for the snacks and what they had learned. They also conveyed their gratitude to the Government of Imo State for keeping them in mind and prayed for the well-being of Imo people.
