As part of marking the annual Children’s Day celebration and World Menstrual Hygiene Day, my office in partnership with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups have organized visits to secondary schools in Imo State.
During the visit to Government Girls’ Secondary School, Okigwe Road, Owerri on June 1, 2023, the Honourable Commissioner for WAVG, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, told the students that their school was among the five thousand (5000) students that would be visited to commemorate the 2023 Children’s Day and World Menstrual Hygiene Day by the Ministry and the office of the Wife of the Governor of Imo State.
