World Breast Feeding Week 2023

World Breast Feeding Week 2023

Breastfeeding boosts the baby’s immune system, nurtures cognitive development, and strengthens the bond between mother and infant. Nevertheless, working parents often face challenges in maintaining breastfeeding routines due to workplace obstacles and time limitations.

Today, the #WorldBreastfeedingWeek2023 commences with the theme, “Enabling Breastfeeding for Working Parents” to highlight the importance of supporting and empowering working parents to continue breastfeeding their infants while balancing their professional responsibilities.

Across the world, diverse organizations and entities are collaborating to establish breastfeeding-friendly settings by working towards implementing laws and workplace policies that guarantee sufficient breaks, private spaces, and supportive measures for on-site expression of milk or breastfeeding.

By fostering breastfeeding-friendly workplaces and promoting a positive attitude towards breastfeeding, we can collectively make a difference for working parents and their babies.
