Cancer is a public health issue of great concern, and we must constantly shed light on how we can keep our communities aware of it. Today, I participate in the World Cancer Day celebrations under the 2023 theme, “Close the Care Gap: Uniting our Voices and Taking Action.”
The campaign this year calls on like-minded individuals and organizations to strengthen allies and forge fresh, creative partnerships in the battle against cancer.
We can combat cancer at the individual and societal levels by banding together and acting: adopting healthy lives, receiving vaccinations, and undergoing routine screening for cancers that can be prevented.
Let’s comment together to fight cancer and take the necessary steps to educate the public on cancer prevention, treatment, and care.
