World Malaria Day, 2022!

Today is World Malaria Day (WMD), 2022. This day is celebrated annually to highlight the various initiatives individuals and organizations are taking around the world to help reduce malaria-related deaths.

The theme for this year is, “Harness innovation to reduce the malaria disease burden and save lives”. This theme aims to draw attention to the fact that the fight against malaria lacks new tools. In order to accelerate the pace of progress against malaria, the World Health Organization calls for investments and inventions in vector control approaches, diagnostic tools, and antimalarial medicines, among other tools.

Reaching zero malaria is possible only if we do the work in investing in the cause that seeks to #EndMalaria.
