H.E Barr. (Mrs) Chioma Uzodimma Through The Commissioner For Women Affairs And Vulnerable Group, Lady Nkechi Ugwu Provide Support For Little Chidera And Her Family

A year and five months ago, a minor in Umudike Dikenafai in Ideato South LGA, by the name Chidera was involved in a ghastly fire accident that left her with a lot of critical injuries. Chidera who was barely 6 years old when the incident happened during a cooking activity had to be admitted to the Chibugo Queens Hospital and Maternity, Umuoji, Isiekenesi in Ideato South LGA.

When the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Group, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu visited the victim on my behalf on the 27th of April, we were told the medical treatment including surgery, blood transfusion, and other medical needs have been on the shoulders of the kind-hearted Doctor, Dr. Chima Elegbua, who was also in charge of the hospital.

I truly commend the kindness and compassion of Dr. Chima Elegbua and his medical team for assisting the family for such a long time. The deeds of kind-hearted people do not go unnoticed, I, therefore, believe that the good Lord will reward them and their families generously.

After sharing a complete medical report with my representative, gift items and cash were handed to the family members to assist with the bills. Furthermore, my office will continue to check on the victim and her family to assist in any way possible. I pray for Chidera’s fast recovery and hope that the Lord continues to strengthen her family through this period.
